CETI partners with SMX to develop molecular marking and digital textile passports

CETI is proud to announce a strategic collaboration with SMX (NASDAQ: SMX), a global leader in traceability and authentication technologies, to develop molecular marking solutions for textiles combined with blockchain-based digital passports.

This innovation aims to address three major challenges facing the textile and fashion industries:

  • Providing verifiable proof of circularity through tamper-proof, real-time verification of recycled content,

  • Combating counterfeiting by embedding a molecular identity directly into textile fibers,

  • Creating new financial opportunities by turning verified sustainability into a measurable and auditable asset.

From CETI’s innovation hub in the Lille European Metropolis, this partnership will accelerate the transition from research to industrial validation, while supporting Europe’s ambitions for the Digital Product Passport (DPP) and contributing to a more transparent and sustainable textile industry.
